A part of me builds,
And a part of me destroys;
This is my nature.

The shore never wanders
but remains fixed. Wanting. Waiting.
Be someone's shore.

Everybody looked at her,
except for the dog that had
different parameters of beauty.

Sun extinguishes.
Sky splits. Moon eats itself when
you lay eyes on me

The real me. Raw me.
Unafraid, unmasked, vulnerable me
Exists in pages I've lost.

You and I, darling
Are the two shores of a river,
Destined to hold bridges.

The thing that remains
is to find you in reality;
I meet you in dreams.

कल उसने एक रात ओढ़ी थी; चाँद को माथे पर लगाया था।  एक डिब्बी जुगनू लपेट; अंगुली भर तारे समेट; रात की रानी के साथ पिरो -  बालों में गजरा लगाया था।  कल कलाई पर कुछ क्यारियाँ,  एक कालीन हथेली पर  सजा कुछ तितलियों से और तर्जनी पर सूरज किरन; उसने चंदन इत्र उढ़ेल  आँचल पर गुलशन महकाया था।  उसने चंद्रमुख बेला पिरो लक्ष्य रस में डुबो कर,  कल एक पाँव में बाँध  और दूसरे में खरी चांदनी,  मनभावन मृग चाल से बीहड़ में सरगम खनकाया था।  ***

Yesterday, she stretched her arms on the street freely as an eagle flexes its wings in the sky,  Taking the whole well-deserving space;  It's breast straight up and head proud.  But today, as I was searching for a corner  to hide from the rockets, I found her shrunken  like a scorpion, hiding behind the closet;  Clawed, defensive yet fearful.  Tomorrow if we meet again, if only;  She and I will find each other climbing walls and  houses of other people,  like two house lizards, in search of insects;  Chirping only when its dark and lonely.  ***
